Lactoferrin is a protein found in cow and human milk. Colostrum, the first milk produced after a baby is born, contains high levels of lactoferrin, about seven times the amount found in milk produced later on.
Lactoferrin has shown to protect against bacterial infection, possibly by preventing the growth of bacteria by depriving them of essential nutrients or by killing bacteria by destroying their cell walls. Also known to boost the body’s defense (immune) system.

- BIBrian I.Verified BuyerI recommend this productRated 5 out of 5 stars1 week agoEnteric Coated Lactoferrin
Lactoferrin is best absorbed in the small intestine. Without enteric coating, a percentage of lactoferrin is denatured by stomach acid.
This is the only lactoferrin product available anywhere I could find that is enteric coated, which products the lactoferrin from our stomach acid, until it reaches our small intestine.
Great product in quality, price and dosage.
